SELJUK BRONZE TRAY WITH KUFIC INSCRIPTION AND SILVER INLAYS - Ca. AD 1000 - 1200. A bronze tray with a flat circular base, low wall, and broad everted rim. The exterior is engraved with a band of rectangular Kufic inscription panels, divided by circular medallions and linear ornaments. The rim is decorated with an interlace border punctuated by roundels. Within the basin, concentric bands enclose further inscription panels, roundels, and stylised vegetal motifs. The centre is decorated with a rosette with silver inlays. Size: 30mm x 145mm; Weight: 305g Provenance: From a central London private collection; earlier acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
