David de Castro Tartas, a wealthy patron in whose house this sefer was printed, was the brother of the holy martyr Isaac de Castro Tartas, ”who sanctified God's name in public and was burned alive in Spain for the sanctification of God.” Interesting antique signatures & ownership inscriptions.
