Sefer HaZohar – Amsterdam, 1728 – With Early Signatures. - A rare and early edition of the Zohar, Volume I – Bereshit, printed in Amsterdam, 1728, by the renowned printer Shlomo Proops. – Early Signatures on Title Page and First Leaf: ”הצעיר אברהם ...” – An early inscription on the title page, partially preserved. ”קניתי מאלמנתו, הצעיר שלום בכה”ר יהודה צעדי” – ”I bought [this] from his widow, [signed] the young Shalom son of the honorable Rabbi Yehuda Tzadi” – likely a Yemenite sage, born around 1733. ”הצעיר יצחק יעקב דוד” – Signed on the first page. ”יצחק דויד שלמה רחמים” – Another ancient inscription on the first leaf. This edition of the Zohar is one of the earlier and more important Ashkenazic printings of the kabbalistic classic.
