Collection of 7 Rare Seforim, Jerusalem and Jaffa Imprints, 1907–1930. - 1. Or HaMe’ir veKol Mevaser – Rabbi Shimon Tzvi Horowitz Jerusalem, 1907 – Only Edition, with the author’s personal stamp. A rare work advocating the study of Kabbalah, claiming the delay of redemption stems from neglecting it. Includes the essay Ner Hashem Nishmat Adam, study schedules, and memorial practices for yahrzeits. With approbations from many leading sages of the time: Ridvaz, Rabbi Chaim Berlin, Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer, Rabbi Kook, the Rishon LeTzion Rabbi Eliyahu Panigel, Rabbi Shalom Hedaya, and others. The Author: Rabbi Shimon Tzvi Horowitz (1870–1947), known as “Reb Shimon HaMekubal” and “Reb Shimon Lider.” A disciple in Vilna, he moved to Jerusalem in 1887 and became a noted kabbalist and founder of Yeshivat Sha’ar HaShamayim, which he led for 40 years. In 1899, he was sent by the rabbis of Jerusalem to search for the Ten Lost Tribes and reached as far as Tibet. 2. Binah BeToldot Avoteinu Avraham, Yitzchak, v’Yaakov. Jaffa, 1916 – Printed by A. Elmaliach. A unique educational treatise on the Patriarchs, written for schoolchildren. Published as a personal memorial by the author, Israel Halevi Taller, on his 80th birthday. Exceptionally rare – never appeared at auction. 3. Siach Yitzchak, Part I – Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiah. Jerusalem, [1923] – First Edition. Published by “Or Chadash veTzemach Tzadik.” Teachings, prayers, and spiritual guidance from Rabbi Yitzchak Alfiah, a great kabbalist born in Aleppo and active in Jerusalem. He promoted the custom of “speech fasts” and lost most of his writings in the 1948 War. Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu stated he was one of the 36 hidden righteous men (Lamed-Vavniks) of the generation. 4.  Polemic: Melakhet Mefarek – Rabbi Yehuda Nach Braver. Jerusalem, 1929. A polemic on the permissibility of milking cows on Shabbat with the “Shabbos Milking Machine.” Includes a sharp protest against American leniencies and a letter from Rabbi Kook expressing opposition to such practices. 5 . Leshon Chachamim – Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad (Ben Ish Chai) Jerusalem, 1929. A rare Jerusalem edition of this collection of supplications and spiritual instructions by Rabbi Yosef Chaim, the famed Ben Ish Chai. Includes the well-known Pidyon Nefesh formula attributed to him. 6 . Sha’arei Tefillah. Jerusalem, 1930 – Printed by “HaMizrach Press.” Contains two prayers: For the Ingathering of Exiles and Elijah’s Prayer for the Congregation of Israel. Ends with a memorial for tzaddikim buried in Hebron, Tzfat, and Motza, and a brief treatise on the holiness of the Western Wall. Extremely rare – only once previously recorded at auction. 7 . Seder Tefillah leShacharit shel Chol veRosh Chodesh Jerusalem, ca. 1930s  – Printed by Yehiel Verker. A  children's weekday and Rosh Chodesh prayer book printed in Jerusalem in the early 1930s.
