Interesting Collection of 4 Antique Seforim, 1873–1903. - 1. Sha’ar HaKavanot. By our master Rabbi Chaim Vital. [This edition includes additions not found in other printings of Sefer HaKavanot.] Jerusalem, printed by Yoel Moshe Salomon [son of Rabbi Mordechai Salomon], 1873.  Sh. Halevi, no. 198. 2. Chiddushim u’Kelalot HaRazah.  On topics such as Shiurei Torah, Bein HaShmashot, Rosh Chodesh, Mechirat Chametz, and Hefker; at the end are novellae on Orach Chaim, Yoreh De’ah, and Choshen Mishpat, by the renowned Gaon Rabbi Ze’ev Halevi Elezker of Brod. Jerusalem, 1885 – A complete edition based on the author's manuscript. This work was first printed in Zolkiew in 1771. The present edition contains many additions from the author’s handwritten manuscript. The author was a towering figure of his generation. A glimpse of his greatness is seen in the words of Rabbi Yechezkel Landau in Noda B’Yehuda (Mahadura Tinyana, Yoreh De’ah 96): “...regarding the Torah matter you presented, a difficult question posed by the honorable and pious sharp scholar, R. Wolf Elesker... in the name of Chiddushei HaRazah. I have not yet seen this work, but I knew the author well… for he was a preeminent, mighty scholar with incredible diligence, exceptional sharpness, and broad knowledge… a righteous man, a pillar of the world, ascetic and fearless before even the greatest of the Rishonim…” Signature: Yehuda Ze’ev Wolf Abrahams. 3.   Sefer Mikveh Yisrael – A Work on Purity. By the holy Rebbe Mordechai Dov of Hornosteipel. First Edition printed during the author's lifetime. Berdichev, 1898. A treatise on bodily purity and hand-washing, authored by the Rebbe of Hornosteipel, the patriarch of the Hornosteipel dynasty, the holy Rebbe Mordechai Dov Twersky. Tradition attributes to his blessing the birth of Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky (the Steipler Gaon). The sefer is divided into two parts: Kli Beracha – an explanation on the Shulchan Aruch, Taz, and Magen Avraham on the laws of Netilat Yadayim. Mikveh Yisrael – on the laws of mikvaot, compiling all opinions cited in the Beit Yosef, clarifying the positions of the Shulchan Aruch, Taz, and Shach. A separate title page appears for Mikveh Yisrael. Both works were published anonymously by the author. 4.  Sefer Imrei Moshe.  Talmudic novellae arranged alphabetically by topic. By the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Apter (1840–1903), Av Beit Din of Tarnów, who trained many prominent disciples. Includes an appendix titled Mayim Chaim by the author’s son-in-law, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kirshenboim, who served as dayan in Tarnów on the author’s seat. Only Edition.
