Without the four index pages at the end of the volume, which were only  included in some copies. The Author: Rabbi Moshe Alvilda (approx. 1500–1583), was born in Spain during the time of the expulsion. In 1492, he fled to Greece, where he served as Rabbi in the communities of Arta, Avlona, and Salonika. Among his works are Olat Tamid, Drash Moshe, Reishit Da’at, and more. His seforim were highly regarded, and are cited with reverence by the Shela HaKadosh, who wrote: “The wise scholar Rabbi Moshe Alvilda already brought in his sefer Sha'arei Dema’...” (Shela, Ten Discourses, Fifth Discourse).
