K’tit LaMaor by Rabbi Meir Spitz – Only Edition, Vienna 1792. On the title page is an inscription and early signature of ”Zelig Leib”, presumably that of Rabbi Zelig Leib (Pinchas Yehuda) Pfeiffer, Av Beit Din of Kovegoresh (Kővágóörs, Hungary) from his younger years. However, this identification cannot be confirmed with certainty. Rabbi Pinchas Yehuda (Zelig Leib) Pfeiffer (1806–October 1868), was a prominent disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechezkel Katz, Av Beit Din of Jemering. He served as rabbi in Kovegoresh from around 1832. His sons-in-law included: Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Hershler, Av Beit Din of Sabádi, who later emigrated to Jerusalem; Rabbi Avraham Eliezer Eckstein, dayan in Budapest. Additional inscriptions include: Eliezer Shimon S[...], from Antofa, dated 1860. An early signature: “HaBachur Avraham Shtefigner?” 69, [1] Leaves. 21.3 Cm.
