Bidspirit auction | A Dollar from the Lubavitcher

A Dollar from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – Marked “Reshet” – Given to a Donor of Ohel Yosef Yitzchak Network - This one-dollar bill originates from the hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, and was part of a special distribution to a select group of prominent Chassidim and directors of the רשת אהל יוסף יצחק- Reshet Ohel Yosef Yitzchak organization. Known as a cornerstone of Chabad’s infrastructure, Reshet played a vital role in supporting and expanding Chabad institutions in Israel and beyond. The Rebbe gave these dollars to the heads of the organization, with the instruction that they be passed on to significant donors—individuals who made meaningful contributions to help sustain and grow the network. In this context, the dollar was, in a sense, “acquired” by a Chassid through his generous support of this sacred mission. What sets this particular dollar apart is the clear handwritten marking at the top of the reverse side: ”רשת” (Reshet)—a rare and identifying mark linking it to this specific act of distribution. It serves not only as a tangible blessing from the Rebbe, but also as a historical token of support for the vital work of Ohel Yosef Yitzchak. Upon request, we will be pleased to provide a letter of authentication and certification from the current owner, affirming that the items are as described and that their provenance and origins are genuine and verifiable.
