A Dollar Received from the Holy hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe – 16th of Tamuz, 5735 - This significant one-dollar bill was received directly from the holy hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, on Wednesday, the 16th of Tamuz, 5735 , just one day before the fast of the 17th of Tamuz. On this Dollar the Chassid who received the Dollar Inscribed the date it was received: ”16th of Tamuz, 5735” .  The 17th of Tamuz marks a day of national mourning in the Jewish calendar, commemorating the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem and other tragic events in Jewish history. Receiving a dollar from the Rebbe on the eve of such a solemn and spiritually charged time imbues this item with added meaning, reflecting the Rebbe’s ongoing mission to uplift, inspire, and spiritually prepare his Chassidim and followers. As with all dollars given by the Rebbe, this one was accompanied by the intention that it be used for charity (tzedakah), turning a simple act of receiving into a meaningful act of giving.
