A $20 Bill from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – For the Printing of Tanya in Italy - This twenty-dollar bill carries both material and spiritual significance. It was given directly from the holy hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, to a distinguished shaliach (Chabad emissary) for the express purpose of supporting the printing of the holy book of Tanya in Italy. The Rebbe strongly encouraged the worldwide dissemination of Chassidic teachings, and one of the central aspects of that mission was the printing of the Tanya—the foundational text of Chabad Chassidus—in every place where Jews live. The Rebbe saw each new printing as a spiritual milestone, illuminating the area and infusing it with holiness. This particular $20 bill, which was part of that sacred initiative, was later given to a Chassid who actively participated and supported the printing project in Italy, either through physical help or financial contribution. Receiving this bill represented a tangible token of the Rebbe’s blessing and a symbol of participation in the holy mission of spreading the light of Torah and Chassidus.
