One Hundred Dollar Bill – From the Lubavitcher Rebbe for the Support of a Chabad Organization - This one hundred dollar bill was originally given by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, to a Chassid who was entrusted with supporting an important Chabad organization in need of financial assistance. As part of his effort to strengthen and sustain the organization, the Rebbe gave this $100 bill—along with others—to the head of the organization, enabling him to carry out its vital mission. At a later time, the Chassid who received the bill carefully exchanged the original funds, returning the monetary value to the organizational fund, and retained the actual bills the Rebbe had given, due to their spiritual and historical significance. This particular bill, inscribed at the top with the words ”מכ”ק אדמו”ר שליט”א” (From the holy hands of His Honor, the Rebbe Shlit”a), was purchased nearly fifty years ago by the current owner for a sum far greater than its face value, as a means of receiving the unique blessing and spiritual merit associated with the Rebbe’s personal gift.
