On the Title page of the Kuntress and on the accompanying Dollar bill it is written by R' Avraham Yaakov Ginsberg: On The Kuntress: ”Received from the Hands of his Honor and Holiness the Admo”r Shlit”a, On the 15th of Iyar, 5751.” On The Dollar Bill: ”Received from the Hands of his Honor and Holiness the Admo”r Shlit”a, On the 15th of Iyar, 5751.” The Distribution Ceremony: In the booklet For Strengthening the Connection – 29 (pp. 49–50) קובץ לחיזוק ההתקשרות – there is a detailed account of the background and circumstances of the printing of the present booklet, its nature and content, and of the Rebbe’s distribution of it: “On Monday, 15 Iyar, 5751 (1991) — for the evening prayer (Maariv), the synagogue was packed wall to wall with an enormous crowd… due to the news about the distribution of the booklet called Dvar Malchut. The Dvar Malchut booklet had begun publication in the Holy Land in Shevat 5751 (1991) by Rabbi Tuvia Peles. Each weekly issue included the edited talks (sichot) of the Rebbe from the previous Shabbat’s farbrengen. From 11 Nissan that year, the booklets also began arriving at 770. The name Dvar Malchut (“Word of Royalty”) was chosen according to the Rebbe’s instruction and approval. Following the Rebbe’s well-known talk of 28 Nissan, Rabbi Peles published a special issue of Dvar Malchut, different from its usual format. To everyone’s surprise, when this issue was brought into the Rebbe’s room, the Rebbe instructed that it be printed exactly as it was — in order to distribute it to the Chassidim. It should be noted that this was the only distribution that took place on a regular weekday, unconnected to any holiday or approaching festival. On the back page was printed a dedication ‘in memory of Yisroel Aryeh Leib, brother of the Rebbe shlita.’ At 9:00 p.m., boxes filled with the booklets arrived. In the first page of each booklet was placed a one-dollar bill. At 9:27 the Rebbe entered the synagogue, wearing his gartel and silk sirtuk, and went straight to the distribution table, where he began to hand out the Dvar Malchut booklet. During the first hour, men passed by. The Rebbe appeared in a very uplifted mood (ufgeleygt), smiling at many of those passing, especially the children. During the second hour, women and children passed. In the third hour, men again, and the Rebbe blessed them with the words ‘Good tidings.’ The distribution lasted for three hours and five minutes. Afterwards, the Rebbe turned toward those standing nearby, raised his holy hand to encourage the singing, and then entered his room.
