This is the only Chasidic sefer printed in Mezeritch, the city where Hasidism flourished after the passing of the Baal Shem Tov. Sefer Or Pnei Moshe is based on the teachings of the holy Alshich. The Chozeh of Lublin, who gave an approbation and received teachings from Rebbi Moshe in his youth, writes in his approbation that the Alshich revealed himself to him from a young age.
