Letter Handwritten & Signed in the Holy hand of Rebbe Itzikil of Przeworsk. 1970. - Letter (15 lines) handwritten and signed by the holy Rebbe Moshe Yitzchak Gvirzman of Przeworsk. [Bad Gastein, 1970] Warm blessings for a full and speedy recovery (refuah sheleimah). ”When Adar enters, joy increases for the entire House of Israel…” First, I extend to you a humble blessing: May the Holy One, blessed be He, have mercy and send your daughter a swift recovery, … With God’s help, may she recover quickly and share good news… I bless you to be healthy, joyful , and to have only good tidings, along with all of Israel. At the end of the letter, he signs: ”The humble Moshe Yitzchak, grandson of the rebbi of all Israel, our teacher Rebbi Elimelech of sainted and blessed memory — may his merit protect us and all of Israel, Amen.” The Holy Rebbe Moshe Yitzchak Gvitzman, known as Rebbe Itzikel of Przeworsk (1882-Yom Kippur 1975), descendent of Rebbe Elimelich of Lizhensk (fifth generation), close Chassid of Rebbe Yechezkel of Shinova and son of the Divrei Simcha of Cieszanów. Served as Rebbe of Przeworsk and exiled to Siberia during the Holocaust. He finally settled in Antwerp, Belgium travelling via Poland and France. Known for his holiness, he was exceptional in abstention and self-denial (for years he never rested his feet on his bed and would sleep in a sitting position). He followed the ways of his outstanding grandfather, author of Noam Elimelech who integrated clinging to G-d with loving-kindness to his fellow Jews. Thousands flocked to his court seeking counsel and his prayers on behalf of the ill and for salvation from all suffering.
