“Treasury of the Archives of Maran the Chazon Ish” – Kvittlach in his holy handwriting – letters of requests for advice and blessings from rabbis & from across the globe – the Chazon Ish’s donations to “Shomrei HaChomos” in Jerusalem and to the Talmud Torah Yavneh – a historical archive! - A collection of letters from the archives of the leader of Israel, our teacher Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz, author of Chazon Ish ztz”l. A total of 39 papers. In this collection from the personal archives of the Chazon Ish are 11 leaves with names for prayer, healing, and salvation, all written in his own pure handwriting. A particularly important treasury: 39 items from the table and pen of the gaon and holy man of Israel – Maran the Chazon Ish ztzok”l – what remained in his study and lay upon his desk on the day of his passing. “Advice and Counsel” – letters from rabbis & of all levels from across the world to our teacher, the Chazon Ish zya”a. Dozens of letters and papers received by the Chazon Ish from rabbis in Israel and abroad, concerning public matters, advice, requests for salvation and blessings, beginning from 1925 onward. Among the letters: 1. Postcard from Maran the Chazon Ish’s chavrusa in his youth, the gaon Rabbi Moshe Rosen, Av Beit Din of Kveidan and author of Nezer HaKodesh, regarding the distribution of the Chazon Ish’s sefarim. Brooklyn, 1935. 2.   A letter from Rabbi Eliyahu Meir Kovner, Rosh Yeshiva of Porat Yosef in Rehovot, concerning matters of the yeshiva. 1948. Rabbi Eliyahu Meir Kovner, a disciple of Rabbi David Budnik in the Novardok yeshivot of Mogilev and Zhitomir, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in 1935 and became one of the rabbis of the Tiferet Zion yeshiva. In 1937, at the request of the Chazon Ish, he moved to Rehovot to establish and head the yeshiva Porat Yosef – Divrei Yerucham . He passed away in 1974. His teachings on ethics and thought were published in the book Gilat Meir. 3. Rabbi Moshe Natan Rotman. 1944. 4. A letter of consultation from his student Moshe Shmuel [Shapira?] from Zhabinka, Belarus. 5 . A partial letter from the same Moshe Shmuel, from Kamenitz. 6 . A letter from Rabbi Moshe Shmuel [Shapira?] mentioned above, writing down Torah novellae of “Gri''z shlit”a.” 1935. 7. A letter from Tel Aviv, 1935, concerning the ruling of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski. 8 . A receipt for a donation of ten mils given by the Chazon Ish to the Talmud Torah She’eris HaPleitah in the Halisa neighborhood of Haifa, signed by Rabbi Yaakov Ben Zion Rutner. 1949. 9. A receipt from the Etz Chaim Yeshiva in Jerusalem, signed by Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky. 1941. 10. A letter from Rabbi Yosef of Miskov of Stowbtsy about the state of education in his city, requesting that the Chazon Ish ask the Vaad Hayeshivot to send at least one rosh mesivta to his town. 11 . A request letter from the library of the Hebron Yeshiva Knesses Yisrael to the Chazon Ish, asking that he send them his publications. Signed by Rabbi Zvi Dov Kahanovitz. 12.
