Letter of Thanks and Blessing from the Holy Rebbi Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov – 1973. - A letter of gratitude addressed to the philanthropist Pinchas Mintzer, who donated thirty liras, bearing the holy signature of the Rebbe. The Rebbe writes: “May Hashem help, protect, and bring salvation to you with great success in all your endeavors, and may you be blessed with complete health and abundant nachas, as is the heartfelt prayer of your devoted friend with great love…” Brooklyn, 1973. Rebbi Shlomo Halberstam (the second) of Bobov, author of Divrei Shlomo (1908–2000), was one of the great Chassidic leaders of the last generation. He was the son of Rebbi Ben Zion Halberstam, author of Kedushas Tzion, and grandson of Rebbi Shlomo Halberstam, the first Rebbe of Bobov — who himself was a grandson of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. In 1931, his holy father moved from Bobov to Tschibin (Trzebinia) and appointed Rebbi Shlomo as the “young rabbi” (Rav HaTza’ir) of Bobov. He assisted his father in running the extensive Etz Chaim–Bobov yeshiva network, which operated dozens of branches throughout Galicia. After the Holocaust, he arrived in the United States and rebuilt the glory of the Bobov Chassidus from the ground up. He led his followers for over fifty years, establishing vibrant communities, yeshivas, and educational institutions across the U.S., Israel, Belgium, England, and beyond. Today, Bobov is one of the largest Chassidic communities in the world, comprising thousands of families. His published works include: Kerem Shlomo, Noam Shlomo, Divrei Shlomo, Chochmat Shlomo, and others. [1] Leaf on official letterhead paper, approx. 26 cm.
