This is the first printing of the renowned Chassidic work Zot Zikaron, authored by the Chozeh of Lublin, the spiritual father of Polish Chassidut and known as the “Rebbe of Rebbes.” The Chozeh penned his teachings himself, beginning his writings with the kabbalistic intention: ”For the sake of unifying the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Divine Presence, with awe and love, to unite the name Yud-Heh with Vav-Heh in perfect unity, in the name of all Israel and to raise the Shekhinah from the dust, I hereby prepare myself to innovate Torah insights in the presence of attentive companions…” The legendary Chidushei HaRim of Ger, one of his foremost disciples, once remarked: “I do not study Chassidic seforim, because most authors wrote for their own generations.
