Shabbetai Tzvi Polemic: Leket Shmuel, Venice 1694. Only Rare Edition. - Sepher Leket Shmuel [midrashic compilation]. By Rabbi Shmuel Feibish Katz. First Rare Edition. Venice, 1694. Title within decorative engraved border. The author was the city scribe in Lublin from where he fled pogroms to the safety of Vienna, whereupon in 1670 he was expelled from that city when Vienna banned Jews from its environs - he finally settled in Eretz Israel. On ff. 30b-31a it is stated that the Messiah disappeared in 1670 and will reappear 40 years hence.
