On the flyleaf appears the sacred autograph signature of the Admor, Rebbi Meshulam Feish Segal, author of the sefer, along with a handwritten blessing: “Mazal Chen” (good fortune and grace). The holy Rebbi Meshulam Feish Segal of Tosh [1921–2015]. Was born in Tosh, son of the holy Rebbi Mordechai, grandson of the holy Rebbi Elimelech, and great-grandson of the “Seraph of Tosh.” His early years were spent in divine service with awe beyond human comprehension. At the age of 12 he went to study under his uncle, the holy Rabbi Asher Löwy of Kalov. He endured the terrible suffering of the wicked Nazis, yet even there did not relinquish a single jot or tittle of Torah and mitzvos, employing every possible stratagem and with boundless mesiras nefesh. In the bitter exile of Auschwitz he lost most of his family, yet strengthened himself in his God and became a pillar and symbol of steadfast faith, inspiring many to return from sin. After the war he began to serve as Rebbe, leading the remnants of survivors and disciples of his ancestors – sparks rescued from the fire. Before long he settled in Canada, where his name spread throughout the Jewish world as a worker of wondrous salvations, a beacon and gathering point for multitudes of Jews. He raised hundreds and thousands of worthy disciples and served his Creator in truth and sincerity.
