Amazing letter from the Rebbe, with an added 80 words in his holy handwriting! From the very first year of his leadership – 1951. - A printed letter from the Rebbe, concerning the connection between the festival of Shavuos and the principle that all of Israel are guarantors for one another, and its implications for the field of education of Jewish boys and girls.  Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan, 1951. At the top, the Rebbe added in his own handwriting 8 lines – about 80 words – together with his original signature! *”With G-d’s help, I received your letter pleasantly, and I mentioned it at the Tziyun on Erev Rosh Chodesh. Regarding what you wrote in your letter (in brief, since this is not the time for the fitting length): the negative connotation of the term ‘temporary…’ for behold, the Holy One, blessed be He, accorded it honor in Tanach – see there. …The connection of ‘Open my eyes…’ which David said, with Lag BaOmer, is explained in the discourse Gal Einai, 5638 (published in Toras Shmuel…). With blessings for a joyous festival of Shavuos – ‘the morrow after the Sabbath’ in both its meanings, including its simple sense, this year.”* 28cm
