The work comprises many sermons on the Jewish festivals and on a wide range of themes, including repentance; for the first day of Rosh Ḥodesh, on the diminution of the moon; for the Tenth of Tevet; for Shabbat Zakhor; and many other varied topics. On the final leaf appears the following note: “When the consummate sage, the honored Rabbi Judah of Modena, may his light shine, saw the beauty and splendor of the sefer… he contributed of his own, ” followed by several warm lines of praise for the work and a fine poem composed by him in his characteristic style. On another final page is a joint approbation by the rabbis of Venice, bearing the date of printing. 231, [1] Leaves. 19.3 cm.
