The Gaon Rabbi Simcha Bunim Rappaport Cohen (1734-1816) was a German rabbi who served in Marktbreit, Wallerstein and Bonn. When the community of Cologne was reestablished in 1801, he played a significant role in affixing their bylaws. Rappaport also represented Rhenish Jewry in Napoleon’s Sanhedrin in 1807.
