Gett Mekushar. First Edition. Livorno, 1785. - Sefer Get Mekushar, by the sage Rabbeinu Yonah ben Ḥanun Navon, teacher of the Chida (Rabbi Ḥayyim Yosef David Azulai), author of Nefeh Be-Kesef. The work deals with the laws of divorce (gittin) and is centered around the earlier, well-known composition Get Pashut by Rabbi Moshe ben Ḥabib (Maharam ben Ḥabib). In its second part, it includes a commentary on Tosefei Ra’am to the Sefer Mitzvot Gadol (Semag) regarding the laws of the festivals of the year by Rabbeinu Yonah himself. First Edition. Livorno, 1785. Brought to press by the author’s son, Rabbi Ephraim Navon, at the Castello-Saadon printing house. With an approbation by his disciple, Rabbeinu the Chida, in which he refers to him as: “one of the uniquely distinguished rabbis of our holy city Jerusalem, may it be rebuilt and established, a great and all-encompassing Torah authority, wondrous beyond wonder, a holy and pious man, the divine Kabbalist, head of the yeshiva and Av Beit Din, my teacher, the outstanding and true rabbi…” On leaves 155–160: “A booklet on the matter of bal tosif (the prohibition against adding to the commandments), by the accomplished sages Rabbi Ḥayyim Mordechai Sornaga and the author’s son, Rabbi Binyamin Navon. On leaves 161–166: “A booklet on the matter of whether mitzvot require intention, ” followed by “A booklet on the matter of hefker beit din (property declared ownerless by rabbinical court authority), ” both by the author’s son, Rabbi Mordechai Navon.
