Rare miniature siddur: Tefillah for the Entire Year, Tehillim, and Ma’amadot. Amsterdam, 1765 – With early inscriptions from Hungary. - Tefillah for the Entire Year, according to the Ashkenaz and Polish rite - including laws, prayers for all days of the year, supplications and petitions, Hoshanot, liturgical poems (yotzerot), selichot, Perek Shirah, the Passover Haggadah, and more. with: Tehillim (Psalms), with the intent (kavanot) of the psalmist and the commentary of Radak. Seder Ma’amadot. Shimushei Tehillim (practical/mystical uses of Psalms). Amsterdam, 1765. Separate title pages for Tehillim and Seder Ma’amadot. The Shimushei Tehillim section appears to be from a bibliographically unknown edition (according to a manuscript title page, also printed in Amsterdam, 1765). An extremely rare miniature siddur! Recorded only once (an incomplete copy lacking the title page) at public auction. At the beginning of the volume are 14 manuscript leaves containing various prayers. Ownership inscription of R. David Segal Wertheim, born 1790. Record of a miracle that occurred to him:“…that He saved me from great danger- I nearly drowned in the Barcău River near the upper mill of the village Ip, in the district of Sălaj… in 1814…” Record of the passing of his mother, Mrs. Sarah Dina, daughter of Rabbi Avraham Yoel, who died in 1806 in the village of Eslar near Tokaj.
