Rare Kabbalah: Yafeh Sha'ah, First Edition, Salonika 1813 - Copy of the holy Rebbe Pinchas of Borsha and his son, the holy Rebbe Yitzchak Meir of Sighet. - Sefer Yafeh Sha'ah, commentary on the Seforim of Rabbi Chaim Vital: Etz HaChaim, Sha'ar HaKavanot and Mevo She'arim, by Rabbi Shlomo Cohen Part 1, Salonika, 1813. First Edition. Very Rare, has only appeared a handful of times at public auction. On the title page appears the stamp of the Admor: “Pinchas, son of the righteous Rebbe Baruch, of blessed and saintly memory.” The Admor, the holy Rebbe Pinchas Hager of Borsha (1867–1941), son of the holy Rebbe Baruch of Vizhnitz and son-in-law of his uncle Rebbe Samuel Rokeach of Skohl (the firstborn son of the holy Rebbe Joshua of Belz), was an outstanding genius in both the revealed and the mystical realms of Torah. In 1893 he settled in Borsha, in the Marmaros region, where he established his court, which numbered hundreds of Hasidim. In 1927 he fixed his residence in Sighet, where he remained until his passing in 1941. In 1966 his remains were transferred to the cemetery in Bnei Brak and interred in the Vizhnitz ohel. Alongside his stamp appears the stamp of his son and successor in holiness, the holy Rebbe Yitzchak Meir of Borsha in Sighet, who served for many years as the city’s rabbi after his father and acted as Admor to many hundreds of Hasidim who flocked to him from across Romania and even from Hungary. The Sefer Yafeh Sha'ah is one of the most important commentaries on Etz Chaim and on Kavanot and is currently printed in the common edition of Kitvei HeAr”i. The author was a Kabbalist among the sages of Jerusalem; he went on a mission to Turkey. He also authored Hora'at Sha'ah, Sha'ar HaKosher, Sha'at Ratzon and Sha'ot D'Rabbanan. He passed away in 1827.
