Ownership inscription on the title page '' Belongs to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager rabbi of Ober Visheve'' Several of his handstamps '' Menachem Mendel Hager son of the tzadik of Viznitz, rabbi of Ober Visheve & its environs'' The Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager [1885-1941], the eldest son of the Holy Rebbe author of the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz. Since 1908, he served as the Rav of Vizhnitz and the Rosh Yeshiva of the Beis Yisroel Yeshiva. In 1921, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Visheve and there too established a large yeshiva that was the largest in Romania with more than 400 students. In 1936, after the passing of his father the Ahavas Yisroel, he started serving as Admor and was admiringly and lovingly titled ”Rabbi Mendel of Vishava”. He continued teaching at his yeshiva and worked in the entire Ramrush district for supporting Torah and religion.
