Signature of the holy Rebbe Menashe Eichenstein of Veretzky, author of Alfei Menashe. - Sefer Shem HaGedolim HeChadash, 2 parts. Warsaw printing. On the first title page is the Rebbe's Holy  signature: “Belongs to me, the young one, Alfei Menashe Eichenstein of Dzikov.” There are also several stamps reading: “Menashe Eichenstein of Dzikov, ” and on the endpaper his name is written in Latin characters. The holy Rebbe Menashe Eichenstein (1865–1935) was the son and successor of the Admor Rebbe Yissachar Berish Eichenstein, and son-in-law of the Admor Rebbe Yehoshua Horowitz of Dzikov. Around 1878, at approximately age 13, he married and entered the household of his illustrious father-in-law. He was the first son-in-law of the Ateret Yehoshua, who at that time had no sons (his only son, Rebbi Alter, was born several years later). As a result, his father-in-law cherished him greatly and invested deeply in his development. From his youth, he devoted himself day and night to Torah study with great diligence, drawing extensively from his father-in-law, one of the leading sages of the generation. He also served as the junior rabbi in Dzikov. A towering scholar, he authored numerous works, including: Alfei Menashe on Choshen Mishpat, Torat HaAsham on laws of ritual purity, Mateh Menashe on Shabbat and festivals, Alfei Menashe on the Torah. From 1904 he served as Av Beit Din of Rzeszów, succeeding Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Wallerstein. After World War I he settled in Munkatch, and from 1924 served as rabbi and Admor in Veretzky, succeeding his father. 65, 44, 46 leaves. 22 cm.
