Venice, 1606. Second edition. The personal copy bearing the signature of the renowned Gaon and kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Segré (Otzar HaRabbanim: 6088), author of Binyan Av. In 1666 he was sent at the head of a delegation of rabbis from Italy to investigate and examine the conduct of the false messiah Sabbatai Zevi. He was among the leading rabbis of Italy in the time of Solomon Algazi. Rabbi Segre served as the first rabbi of Vercelli, and was the progenitor of the rabbinic Segre dynasty of Vercelli (and also of the Segre banking family). He opposed the gaon Rabbi Jacob Chagiz regarding the proper order of the shofar blasts. At the head of the title page appears the signature of R. Azariah Feucht, dated 1609. 78, [4] leaves. 20 cm.
