Original Vellum & Silver Binding. - Order of prayers for the whole year according to the Ashkenazic rite, including evening services, chapters, Shir HaYichud, Torah portions, liturgical poems (yotzerot), selichot, as well as Psalms, Ma’amadot, and supplications. Amsterdam, 1711. Printed by Shlomo ben Yosef Katz Proops. Separate title page for the Psalms and Ma’amadot section. Extremely Rare! Not recorded in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book; listed by Vinograd only based on Steinschneider’s catalog. Not found in the Israel National Library and has never appeared at public auction. Ownership inscription at the top of the first title page of the woman Miriam, wife of Chaim Gundersheim. On the front endpaper is a historical deed of gift dated 1805, in which the aforementioned gentlewoman, Mrs. Miriam, bequeaths the machzor to her granddaughter, Mrs. Shprintzche (Shprintze), daughter of her son-in-law, the officer Rabbi Aharon May of Frankfurt am Main. Signed by Rabbi Binyamin Ze’ev son of Rabbi Hirsch, and Rabbi Liberman son of Rabbi Hirsch, of blessed memory, shatz and trustee.
