Divrei Neva, First Edition, Amsterdam, 1688. - Sefer Divrei Neva, a work of Talmudic novellae and dialectical analysis (pilpul) on the Talmud, Rashi, and Tosafot, by Rabbi Nehemiah Feivel Roshniz, lay leader (parnas) of the Jewish community of Prague. First Edition. Amsterdam, 1688. Published by David de Castro Tartas. Bound with the volume is an additional work, Pi Neva, containing halakhic novellae. It was printed with its own separate title page, indicating that it was intended as a companion volume while remaining an independent work in concept. A remarkable tradition concerning this sefer is recorded by the Chida (Shem HaGedolim) in the name of the Or HaChaim HaKadosh: ”I heard from the outstanding sage, Rabbi Chaim ibn Attar, of blessed memory, that in his time one of the sages of the Maghreb read a certain passage in Divrei Neva, found it unsatisfactory, and spoke disparagingly of it. That night he was nearly choked to death, until he wept, begged forgiveness, and accepted upon himself never again to belittle the work of any author.” [3], 152, [1]; 10 leaves.   19.7 cm. The companion work Pi Neva has its own separate title page. Early ownership signature: Simcha Segal.  Additional early signatures.
