One Wedding Coin for the Bride and Three Copies From Legendary Coins (Two in Silver)
Produced by the American Historic Society is a Lucky Wedding coin which states that the enclosed coin is an authentic English Sixpence for "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Stuck in Your Shoe." The Sixpence used to be tucked into the shoe of English brides to ward off evil and bring prosperity and good luck to the marriage. Coin is dated 1961. There are also three copies of coins from "America's Legendary Coins" which are cased and covered - one Draped Bust dated 1804 and reads ".999 Silver" - tests 99.4 silver - weighs 2 troy ounces - one Draped Bust is dated 1804 and is silver-plated only - the third silver Walking Liberty half-dollar (copy) is dated 1916 and reads .999 silver, tests 97.8 parts silver - weighs 2 troy ounces. Misc. coin holders and paperwork are also included.
