Caldwell & Co Jewelers This beautifully made vintage fountain pen was made by the fine J.E. Caldwell & Co company in Pennsylvania. The pen cap is stamped for the company and also ”14k.” The nib is stamped ”W.S. Hicks Sons 14k” and the pen with cap is approx 5” long. This fine pen has no monogram, weighs 18.86 grams. J.E. Caldwell & Co. was a major jewelry retailer and one-time silversmith in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company was founded at 163 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, by watchmaker James Emmot Caldwell in 1839.
