Antique Swiss Pocket Watch in Gold w/Lovely Old Watch Box & Key - Antique Swiss Pocket Watch in Gold w/Lovely Old Watch Box & Key 1) Antique watch box appears to have a textured leather exterior and a burgundy-color satin and velvet interior, box has a fitted center for the pocket watch and measures approx 5 1/4” wide, 1 1/2” tall and 4” deep. 2) Antique watch is key-wound and set, a key is provided but doesn't appear to work with this watch, the porcelain dial has linear fissures and chips at the 9:00 mark, the back of the watch reads ”M. DuBois Locle Suisse” and other engraving, winds, sets and ticks for a short time at time of listing - accuracy unknown - will need an appropriate key. The outer case tests as 18k - could be heavily plated so please bid with discretion based on your own observations. The dust cover tests copper, dial has no maker's name and the watch weighs 82.21 grams. 3) Key for winding a pocketwatch is approx 1 1/4” tall, the key-wind portion tests 14k and the top tests gold-filled, however, please bid w/discretion as key could be heavily plated - key weighs 1.76 grams. ”M. DuBois” on a pocket watch likely refers to MoÔse DuBois, a significant figure in the history of the DuBois et fils watch brand. Locle ñ another watchmaking town in Switzerland.
