Bidspirit auction | Two 19th Century Beer Tankards

Two 19th Century Beer Tankards (Tankard / Schnelle) - Each tankard is made of glazed stoneware, decorated with stylized reliefs and two 'windows' depicting King Arthur, with the inscription 'Cunnig Artus 1588', and in the second 'window' an image of Emperor Constantine the Great with the inscription 'Keiser Constantin' and an additional inscription 'Hector van droie T K'. The taller tankard has an inherent hairline crack, and the shorter tankard has a defect in the base rim (photographed). Height respectively: 21/25 cm. Period: 19th century (1800-1900)
