Coins bearing this epithet, minted between 51–30 BC, symbolized her political authority and divine legitimacy during the final years of the Ptolemaic dynasty.       Cleopatra VII formed powerful political and romantic alliances with Julius Caesar and later Mark Antony, deeply influencing Roman affairs. Her defeat alongside Antony by Octavian (later Augustus) in 30 BC marked the end of the Ptolemaic rule and Egypt's annexation into the Roman Empire.
