neznámý Autor - Unknown artist: Portrait of a Scholar. Hanging scroll, ink and colour on paper, inscribed in standard kaishu script with a celebratory poem and dedicated to 'third elder brother Fuqiao' (芙橋三哥); the calligraphy signed by Cao Yonglin (曹用霖) and dated to the jiaping month of the yiwei year, with two seals of the calligrapher beside the signature and one further seal at lower right. Dated 1895.
