Vahan Khorenyan (Armenian, 1928-2003) - Vahan Khorenyan (Armenian, 1928-2003), oil on cardboard, signed l. l., 49 x 70 cm. Notes Vahan Khorenyan was born in Tbilisi and received his early artistic training at the Tbilisi Art College, later continuing his studies at the Leningrad Academy of Arts. In 1954, he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts and Drama in Yerevan. A versatile and accomplished painter, Khorenyan worked across a wide range of genres, including portraiture, still life, landscape, and large-scale compositions. His works were exhibited extensively both within the Soviet Union and internationally, including in the United States and France. From 1971, he lived and worked in Ashtarak, where he continued to develop his artistic practice. His works are preserved in the artistic funds of Armenia and Georgia and are held in numerous private collections worldwide.
