”מדליה צבאית” צרפת. הוקמה ב-22 בינואר 1852 על ידי הנשיא הראשון של הרפובליקה הצרפתית השנייה, שארל לואי-נפוליאון בונפרט (הקיסר העתידי של צרפת נפוליאון השלישי) - ”Military Medal” France. Established on January 22, 1852 by the first president of the Second French Republic, Charles Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte (the future Emperor of France Napoleon III). The Republic of France. Graduation 1870-1940 awarded to French military servicemen (except for officers no higher than the rank of general and admiral) who showed discipline and courage in the fight against the enemy (if there is eight years of military service). Foreign citizens (Winston Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt) could also award the medal. The award was second only to the Legion of Honor. Silver, brass, enamel, gilded.
