Information: Nikolai Adrianovich Protopopov (1876-1960) was a painter and landscape painter. In 1903, he entered the Imperial Academy of Arts (N.N. Dubovsky's landscape studio). He was immediately engaged in portrait painting in the workshops of P.P. Chistyakov and V.E. Savinsky. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1912. He played an outstanding role in the Kuindzhi Society (1909-1913). Exhibitor of Spring exhibitions in the halls of the Academy of Fine Arts, exhibitions of the Union of Artists (Moscow, 1909-1911), the Society of Independent Artists (St. Petersburg, 1910-1917).
