Information: Pavel Artemievich Troshkin (1909-1944) was a Soviet photojournalist for the ”Izvestia” newspaper, a participant in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), and a major. He was distinguished by his personal bravery, taking photographs at the risk of his life. His photographs of several dozen damaged German vehicles on the Buinichi field near Mogilev, published on July 20, 1941 in ”Izvestia”, became the first large-scale photographic evidence of the valor of Soviet soldiers.
