Alexander Nikolaevich Vertinsky (1889-1957) - singer, stage performer, film actor, composer and poet. One of the most famous performers of romance genre of Russian emigration, contributed to the heyday of the genre abroad. His songs ”Dorogoi dlinnoyu” (Those were the days), ”Dochen'ki” (Daughters), etc. were particularly popular.
