KENSINGTON WARE 15cm ART DECO JUGS (2) c1930s
(Kensington Pottery operated at the Kensington Works in Hanley.Around 1937 Gerald Wood, the Managing Director of the Arthur Wood Group acquired a controlling interest in Kensington Pottery Ltd. Since 1934 the Arthur Wood Group had owned Price Bros, who operated from the Top Bridge Works.
Upon acquisition Kensington Pottery moved manufacturing to the Top Bridge Works and Continued to operate under their own name.
In December 1961 Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd and Kensington Pottery Ltd. were amalgamated as Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd.)
