Sheirit Hapleita . A letter from Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Meisels - ”Veitzener Rov”. Bergen Belsen DP Camp Germany 1946. This letter which is addressed to the Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky, is regarding the Holocaust Agunos  Rabbi Meisels brings up the idea of making a general ”Heter meah rabbanim”. Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Meisels - known as ”Veitziner Rav” was a survivor of Auschwitz, and became, at the war's end, Rav of Bergen-Belsen and Rabbi of the British Zone of Occupation in Germany and later Rabbi of the Congregation Shearith Yisroel in Chicago. He was the author of Mekadshei Hasheim on the gedolim who perished in the Holocaust.
