Interesting Letter from Rabbi NECHEMIA ALTER son of the SFAS EMESS & Brother of the IMREI EMESS. A handwritten and signed letter from Reb Nechemia Alter, sent from Otwock, regarding the Yeshivah Sfas Emess, his brother the Imrei Emess, and helping the Rebbe of Amshinov. Reb Nechemia Alter (1875-1942) was the third son of Rabbi Yehuda Arye Leib Alter of Gur, the ”Sfas Emess”. A brother of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter of Gur, the ”Imrei Emess”, and father in law of Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter of Gur, the ”Lev Simcha”. Reb Nechemia perished in 1942 in the Lodz Ghetto.
