Letter. Rabbi Leib Reichert & son R. Yona from Kata Hungary. Talmidim of Chasam Sofer & Ksav Sofer. A nice letter written by father and son, prominent Hungarian Rabbis from Kata. The majority of the letter is from the son Rabbi Yona Reichard, and towards the end, his father Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Leib Reichart adds a few lines. The letter was sent to Rabbi Yehuda Katz and his father Reb Menachem Mendel Katz from Pressburg. Reparing tape on both sides but not affecting legibility. Rabbi Leib Reichert was born 1797 in Toratz. Learned by the Chasam Sofer, and from 1832 succeeded his father as Rabbi of Kata. Rabbi Yonah Reichert, was born 1826 and learned under the Kesav Sofer. He was a son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Asad . From 1847 he succeded his father as Rabbi of Kata
