Waltham openface 16s Grade Vanguard Pocket Watch, 23j, #19104959 - Waltham Vanguard pocket watch, serial number 19104959. Features a 23 jewel movement, adjusted to 6 positions. Gold filled case. Circa 1912.   Waltham openface grade Vanguard pocket watch featuring a 23 jewel movement and serial number 19104959 puts manufacture circa 1913. The watch has a two-tone white dial, black numerals and hands, and dark red 5 minute indicators outside of a black minute track. There is a 24 hr subdial at 12 o'clock, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The movement is marked ”Vanguard, Waltham, Mass., 23 Jewels, ADJUSTED, 5 POSITIONS, LOSSIER INNER TERMINAL HAIR SPRING”. The gold case is marked  ”KEYSTONE, J.BOSS, 10K GOLD FILLED”, and has a case number 9509007. The back of the case isn't engraved, but the bezel has a coin edge engraving. Condition: Good condition. Minor wear commensurate with age. Not recently serviced and the movement is untested.
