Glazed pottery bowl with painted decoration - Glazed pottery bowl with painted decoration Iran or Central Asia, 12th-13th century Light-coloured earthenware bowl covered with a copper oxide light-blue glaze, a pigment typical of medieval Islamic production in Khorasan and Transoxiana. The interior painted with stylized floral and plant motifs and stylized waves on the borders, inside and out. The bowl is restored, but retains its original, irregular structure due to a partial collapse during firing. D cm 13 H cm 5.5
