Torana with Garuda - Torana with Garuda Nepal, 19th century An embossed and gilded copper devotional altarpiece depicting the vehicle of Vishnu, characterized by its anthropomorphic body and bird-like head. Garuda is depicted here in his four-armed version, the two secondary ones holding the drum (damaru) and sceptre (khatvanga) as attributes and the two main ones the bowl (kapala). The figure wears royal robes, a five-pointed crown and is surrounded by a flaming halo. h. 19.5 X 14 cm
