Bronze Jain altar depicting the Tirthankara Shantinatha - Lost-wax bronze casting depicting Shantinatha, the sixteenth Tirthankara of the Jain tradition, seated in padmasana on a stylized throne, adorned with a halo and parasol, and flanked by two guardian lions and flying deities. The altar features the traditional elegant trilobed arch structure, crowned by a kalasha (ritual vessel) and enriched with floral and architectural motifs characteristic of late medieval Indian art. On the reverse is an inscription in Devanagari reading: ”śrī sāntināthāya namaḥ” — ”Homage to the venerable Śāntinātha” — followed by the formula ”धमार्राधक श्री … संवत् १५०८” — ”Devotee of the Dharma, the venerable śrī … in the year Vikrama Samvat 1508,” corresponding to 1451 CE.
