The composition is unbalanced to the left due to the presence of a servant with a flyswatter, while the background is divided in half: at the bottom the floor, the colour of which presumably reproduces the white marble typical of Mogul architecture - from whose tradition of courtly portraits this painting is also inspired -; at the top the light green background derived from the typical production of the Deccan area. h. 20 X l. 14 cm
